I’m Angela, baker and creator.. I have a passion for baking and eating delicious food, and after a number of cakes made for special friends, decided it’s now or never to start out and bake for everyone.
After starting The Essential Cupcake, my thirst for knowledge kicked in so I started my training to become a qualified Pastry Chef. I completed my studies and after gaining some experience with a boutique 5-star hotel in Adelaide, I came back to this business full time, to ensure work/life balance with my family.
It is of utmost importance to me that when baking treats they are of the highest quality, and as a small business in South Australia, supporting local and other small business plays a massive part in the ingredient selection. Wherever possible, South Australian produce is sourced, either direct from the producer or via channels which aid in the support of South Australian business.
